Job overview
The post holder is required to plan, coordinate, monitor and manage delivery of the IT elements of a new EOC build.
This is an IT project management role which will involve responsibility for delivering a critical project. It is not a technical role although the emphasis will be on managing the project which contains a technical element and which require communication with all levels of technical and non-technical personnel.
This role will require you to be quick to learn, not afraid to ask questions to check your understanding, and be friendly, approachable and confident when dealing with stakeholders and teams. You will show meticulous attention to detail and be committed to seeing projects through to completion, keeping track of progress along the way and understand the value of visibility and transparency to our delivery model. Applicants must have recent experience of delivering technically enabled projects.
Main duties of the job
We have a vacancy for an experienced, confident IT project manager. The postholder will be responsible for planning and delivery of a technology enabled projects to support delivery of the Trust's digital strategy.
We are looking for the candidate to have a strong background in deploying IT infrastructure in buildings.
We are looking for someone with a "Can Do" attitude, who is enthusiastic about continually evolving their project management skills in line with modern practice and emerging trends. You will need to be fully committed to delivering excellence and improving service delivery to our internal customers.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in IT and business/industry work experience or a combination of related training and experience.
- ITIL 4 Foundation.
Desirable criteria
- Recognised other relevant change management qualifications (such as MSP), eg relating to risk, benefits, change, testing, business analysis or continuous improvement.
- Other project and change management training courses.
- Staff Management training courses.
- Evidence of recent further professional development
Experience
Essential criteria
- Significant business analysis experience, eg developing business use cases, business requirements, process documentation, etc.
- Further, demonstratable experience in leadership (teams, stakeholders, etc) and planning.
- Substantial experience in a business relationship role and managing client relationships at all levels.
- Significant operational management experience at senior level in the NHS or other industry.
- Significant experience of managing digital activities including planning, control, change management and activity management.
- Significant experience in developing IT solutions in a customer-facing environment.
- Experience of negotiating with and managing suppliers.
- Experience of Dev Ops, Agile and Waterfall principles.
Desirable criteria
- Experience of managing project budgets.
- Experience of working with, supporting or implementing systems within an NHS Ambulance Service IT environment.

Essential criteria
- Effective and confident public speaking and ability to prepare presentation material and deliver presentations.
- Ability to work effectively between strategic and operational activities where required.
- Ability to analyse highly complex issues where material is conflicting and drawn from multiple sources.
- Able to produce effective documentation for audiences ranging from highly technical to non technical.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft products.
