Job overview

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Staff Nurse to support the team to deliver excellent patient care on Ward 12 and the frailty unit. 

You will be required to confidently support your team and sharing your ideas to improve the care of patients. You will focus on engaging with colleagues and developing our service. If you are a strong inspirational, caring and compassionate individual whom works well under pressure and wants to deliver quality care to our patients then please apply.

Ward 12 is a 38 bedded older person medicine ward and frailty unit, looking after patients with different medical conditions and dementia.

As a Staff Nurse you will be expected to have a wide knowledge base on medical conditions. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the continuous development of the ward and advancement in patient-centred care, as well as keen to progress in their knowledge and skills. 

Main duties of the job

The post holder is responsible for the assessment of care needs and the 
development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care and the setting and monitoring of standards.

The post holder will be expected to carry out all relevant forms of care and will be designated to take charge of the ward on a regular basis.

  • Registered nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
