Job overview

We are looking for a  administrator to work with an exciting new team which supports children and young people within schools to help them access mental health support earlier and when they need it. The Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) are based within schools and operate across Suffolk. The current vacancy will be for a team in the West Suffolk area. 

The successful candidate will work with the team providing ongoing day-to-day administrative support and assisting the MHST leadership team to continually refine and improve the service offered.  They will work alongside the other administrators in the service. 

Main duties of the job

The ideal post holder will be keen and motivated to improve the care and support offered to young people. The post holder will need to be well organised, have experience in administrative settings, and ideally have knowledge about healthcare/the NHS. They will work under the supervision of the Clinical Team Managers and be responsible for supporting their team. There will be opportunities to work collaboratively with and gain support from the wider Suffolk Children Families and Young People Care Group admin team.

Essential criteria
  • Pitman/RSA III Typing / Word Processing or equivalent secretarial experience at intermediate level.
  • NVQ 2 Customer Services or working towards.
  • NVQ 3 Business Administration or equivalent or working towards.
