Registered Mental Health or Learning Disabilities  Nurse: Willows  ward,  Older Persons' Inpatient  

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Nurse to join our team. Willows ward is a specialist mixed sex admission ward for the assessment and treatment of functional and organic mental health, with 19 beds.   

We work hard to make sure we provide quality, evidence-based and collaborative care in all of the areas we cover.  This role will include interaction and communication with a wide scope of people including service users, health and social care staff, medical and carers.

Main duties of the job

Staff Nurse: Willow Ward – Mixed sex Organic and functional inpatient later life ward. Please note the successful applicant will be mental health or learning disabilities trained.

Main duties of the job

Ensure that nursing practice is person centred and, as far as possible, promoting the direct involvement of patients and carers in the development of the plan of care from admission to discharge.
Identify personal learning and training needs through appraisal and personal development plans linked to service needs.
Use available resources effectively.
Participate in recruitment, selection and induction of junior staff.
Report and record incidents, complaints and accidents involving patients, staff or visitors in accordance with Trust and Service Standards.
