** Part Time Hours Available **

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Plastic Surgery Department at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital which is based in Outpatients West, Level 2 and consists of consultants, nursing and administrative staff.

An enthusiastic, motivated, hard working person is required to assist with the smooth running of this busy department.  The post combines reception, clerical and computer work.

The role will involve you working in the outpatient area. You will be trained to use our electronic patient system (PAS), along with all relevant administrative skills and will contribute to and support a very busy, committed and hard-working team

The post holder will provide a high quality reception and support service within the Outpatients Department, and as such, will need to be able to communicate well with patients and their relatives, the general public and a wide range of multi-professional staff, internal and external to the Trust.  In order to provide a support service to the technical staff, a versatile approach is essential and the ability to cope with a large number of different tasks simultaneously is a prerequisite of this post.

The Receptionist is responsible for ensuring the correct and timely input of patient information onto the Patient Administration System (PAS), observing the rules of ‘real time data entry’.  All aspects of this role should be carried out in line with Trust Policies and Procedures on data collection and confidentiality. Confidentiality in all matters is of the utmost importance.

To support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service, all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate NNUH’s ‘PRIDE’ values of People focused, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence.
