Band 7 Psychological Therapist
We're looking to recruit a band 7 psychological therapist on a permanent basis (0.9wte).
The post is based at the City Anchorage, Julian Hospital, Bowthorpe Rd in Norwich. We are a diverse team with competencies and accreditations in a range of evidenced based psychological therapies.
The ideal applicant will be passionate about innovation and new ways of working in multi-disciplinary teams alongside supporting people experiencing mental health difficulties living in the community.
Main duties of the job
If you are experienced in working psychologically with adults with complex presentations associated with community mental health then this role will be perfect for you.
The role is both varied and challenging. We are seeking someone who would be able to carry out assessments for therapy suitability, individual and group therapy, psychological consultation and clinical supervision to the multi-disciplinary teams and deliver teaching and training for staff. Duties would also include attendance and contribution to MDT meetings. Training in EMDR and DBT would be highly desirable.
As part of the post holder development, we are willing to consider opportunities for further training in evidence-based psychological interventions.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Health or Social Care professional qualification RMN, Dip OT, Clinical Psychology, Diploma in Social Work or equivalent 2
- Postgraduate diploma in CBT or CAT or family therapy or equivalent
- Registration with a professional body
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working with clients with mental health problems
- Accreditation in a psychological therapy delivered in secondary care
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in a CMHT
Applicant requirements
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
