We have a rare and exciting opportunity to join our team as a Band 6 Senior Mental Health Practitioner/Case Manager 

We cover the Central Norfolk area

We are looking for two dynamic individuals who is passionate about improving services for those experiencing a first episode of psychosis aged 14-65.  This is a substantive opportunity working 32 hours per week to become a part of a highly skilled and experienced team delivering interventions to those people experiencing a first episode onset of psychosis.

Previous experience of working with Psychosis in Early Intervention teams would be advantageous but is not essential. 

You will be work alongside a dedicated group of clinicians who hold the service user, family, carers and social recovery at the centre of all that they do whilst being guided by National Standards to deliver timely and evidenced based interventions.

A core qualification is required, you might be a nurse, social worker or occupational therapist. 

Phone calls, teams calls or visits to meet the team and manager are welcomed and encouraged.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for the care coordination of a caseload of people, working alongside the current MDT to deliver NICE concordant care.

CPD is determined through appraisal with a personal development plan agreed between an individual and their manager, with the commitment of the necessary time and resources.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Registered Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse, Occupational Therapist OR Social Worker with the relevant professional registration
  • Practice Assessor and Practice Supervisor training (NMC registrants) or Practice Educator (AHP & Social Worker Registrants)
  • Ongoing professional development working towards degree level (if professional registration is following a diploma level course)
Desirable criteria
  • Recognised Leadership/Management training

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Able to demonstrate an appropriate level of knowledge of mental health practice from previous experience
  • Demonstrate effective risk assessment and risk management experience
  • Experience in delivery of clinical interventions
  • Experience in working in team delivering person centred treatment packages
Desirable criteria
  • Experience in delivering group based interventions
  • Experience in supporting service development
