We have an exciting opportunity for a seconded Band 6 role within our friendly trauma orthopaedic team on Fountains ward. This will be a 12 month fixed term post.
We have a dedicated and supportive multidisciplinary team who pride themselves on providing the highest quality patient focused care.

Main duties of the job
Main duties of the job
The post holder will:
- Be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of care for our patients in the ward.
- Provide professional, clinical and managerial leadership to nursing staff within the ward.
- Contribute to managing the nursing and material resources of the ward in a flexible and cost-effective way.
- Support the Ward Manager.
- Act as a role model and lead with honesty and integrity
- Support student nurses and junior staff

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- NMC registered.
Desirable criteria
- A Degree in related field.
- Foundation Management / Leadership training.
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience in acute surgical/orthopaedic nursing
- Supervisory experience.
Desirable criteria
- 2 years working as Senior Staff Nurse
- Demonstrable level of competence
- Experience in Change management

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
