Main duties of the job

- Assisting with teaching and training of junior staff, medical students and other professionals
- To actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and audit.To have responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing medical education (CME).

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The successful applicant will join the Paediatric Team and will work on the 7 WTE tier 2 (middle grade) full shift rota alongside specialty doctors and Paediatric resident doctors. There are 10 consultants on the consultant on call rota, and an 8 person tier 1 rota comprising of paediatric ST1/2 doctors, GPST resident doctors and FY2 resident doctors. There are also 2 FY1 resident doctors The post holder will join a friendly, well-established and innovative multi-disciplinary team to support the delivery of high quality care to children in the local population.
