Do you want to work at the leading edge of Radiology Information Technology within a friendly and specialist team?
York Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has an exciting opportunity for an individual to join the PACS Team as PACS Support Officer.
Working as a PACS support officer you will be primarily responsible for the sharing of confidential patient information with our partner organisations, providing first-line support for our Radiology IT Systems and dealing with enquiries in an effective and timely manner.
You will be a well organised, working in a methodical and structured way at all times, with the ability to think independently and problem solve.
Applicants must demonstrate effective communication skills, enthusiasm for the role, be well-motivated and share a commitment to team working.
The technological remit of the department continues to expand and therefore the candidate would need to be open to continued learning of new systems and processes to meet the technology needs of the diagnostic imaging services.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd
1. Provide a general system administration support service for the Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS).
2. To accurately input and retrieve data from Radiology IT Systems within the constraints of the Data Protection Act.
3. To communicate with the multi-disciplinary team and other service users with regard to the sending and receiving of images in line with department systems of work.
4. Using the Image Exchange Portal (IEP) to support image exchange with external organisations.
5. To generate encrypted DVDs to allow image sharing with other healthcare providers, patients, teaching and medico legal purposes.
6. To import CD/DVDs from other organisations as required for clinics and on-going treatment. Ensure correct Radiology Information System entries are created for these instances.
7. Sending images to other local Trusts via Direct DICOM push and ensuring appropriate documentation is emailed and correct Radiology Information System entries are created for these instances.
8. Being the central point of contact for administration of the PACS support email account and phone number.
9. To monitor the performance of the disk burner, PACS and the image exchange portal (IEP), reporting all potential and actual faults and hazards.
10. To contribute to the development of training materials and protocol documents within the PACS support function.
