Job overview
We are seeking a proactive, motivated and compassionate individual to join our Gastroenterology Team as a Liver Network Navigator. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting patients across the liver care pathway, ensuring they receive timely, well‑coordinated and high‑quality care.
The successful candidate will be driven, organised and confident in engaging with a wide range of clinical and administrative staff.
Main duties of the job
Provide effective administrative and patient‑tracking support to ensure accurate recording of patient pathways and efficient clinic processes
Work closely with the Medical Secretary and clinical teams to maintain a smooth, patient‑centred service
Record and update clinic outcomes on the hospital PAS system, ensuring accuracy and timely sharing of information with relevant departments
Deliver general administrative support, including covering Medical Secretary duties when required, to maintain continuity of service
Undertake medical typing in line with agreed standards, producing timely and accurate documentation to support patient care. Maintain high levels of data accuracy when handling patient information, ensuring safe and effective clinical processes
Use CareFlow and other systems to manage patient data, update waiting lists and track correspondence and case notes. Support medical records management, including filing and assisting in maintaining complete and up‑to‑date patient notes
Handle all information with strict confidentiality and professionalism. Provide a courteous, efficient service to patients, GPs, consultants and colleagues, ensuring all enquiries are managed promptly and effectively.
