The appointed candidate will be able to work with a distant supervision, and to support the existing dermatology team to provide general dermatological services to Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust. This includes carrying out outpatient clinics, supporting trainee doctors in the department and nursing staff and seeing patients on the ward. There is no commitment to the on-call general medical services.
The Trust aspires to become a DGH (+) and this involves the teaching of medical students (currently from Leicester and from Oxford). The job plan reflects the emphasis that the Trust places on education, both of undergraduates and postgraduates and the successful candidate would be required to take an active part in education.
