Orthopaedic Scrub Team Manager

Band 7

Job overview

We are really excited to be the first trust in the UK to have achieved Pathway to Excellence®.  It means that our focus is on you, quality and great decision making.  Combine this with our founding partner status of the Cavell nurses trust as well as our DAISY awards for nurses, and newly launched ROSE awards for AHPs, means you can feel challenged, supported and recognised.  At NGH you can have the best possible career.

Come and join our dynamic and growing Theatre Management team, who are passionate about delivering the best possible care to patients whilst maintaining high levels of quality and safety at all times. With a specialist interest in Orthopaedic Scrub you will work closely with the band 7 team  already in post to manage, lead and develop staff and improve patient experience within our busy 4 Theatre complex that specialises in both elective and emergency trauma Orthopaedic surgery.

Main duties of the job

50% of your week will be working as a Manager in the Theatre Complex, with clear defined roles and responsibilities and KPI's to achieve.

Additional 50% of your week will be utilised in your specialist theatre role (Anaesthetics/Scrub/Recovery) and departmental coordination, with again clearly defined roles and responsibilities for overseeing productivity, utilisation, quality and standards.
