Would you like to use your administrative skills in a different environment?  HMP Littlehey is looking to appoint an Administrator who is flexible and enthusiastic to further enhance the existing multi-disciplinary team currently in place.

HMP Littlehey  is a  Category C prison located near a picturesque village of  Perry  in Cambridgeshire. HMP Littlehey has free parking, an onsite gymnasium and restaurant.

Our aim is to provide the same level of health care to prisoners as if they were in the community. This role is to support our integrated healthcare team in the delivery and monitoring of care. The successful candidate will be required to coordinate their work within the prison environment as well as liaising with outside agencies and will report to the Administrative Manager and be part of a multi-disciplinary team. You must have excellent communication and inter-personal skills, be able to prioritise work and good minute taking skills. Main duties of the job

  • To provide day to day general administrative and secretarial support to the clinical and mental health team. 
  • Process and monitor all GP referrals within specified timescales.
  • To process all incoming post for the department; to include distributing to staff scanning all documents on to the patient’s Systmone clinical record and updating spreadsheets accordingly.
  • Handle Healthcare complaints including logging and allocating to member of staff for responding, provision of interim responses and ensuring deadline is adhered to and full response is provided.
  • To maintain up-to-date and accurate spreadsheets.
  • To assist in ensuring all paperwork and any required
  • To organise multi-disciplinary team (MDT) meetings, which require preparation and distribution of all required documents, venue organisation and minute taking.
  • preparation/instructions have been completed in time for the escorting staff to collect and take with them to Hospital appointments.
  • Managing arrangements for visitors e.g., Trust visitors, external prison healthcare staff and other external services to attend the Healthcare department, which includes greeting escorting and advising on Prison Protocol, security and safety.
  • Attend staff meetings and all mandatory training as required.
