Employer heading
NRC Specialist Dietician
NHS AfC: Band 6
Job overview
Are you an enthusiastic dietitian, looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting new role working with complex rehabilitation patients at the National Rehabilitation Centre (NRC). The role of the Specialist Dietitian will be a key part of the interdisciplinary team, supporting those with nutritional needs – this will include oral and enteral nutritional support, so experience with these is essential.
You will be expected to effectively manage and prioritise a busy clinical caseload across the NRC, with the support of the Band 7 Dietitian. You will be actively involved in MDT working alongside other therapists and encouraged to be involved in audit, service evaluation and service improvement projects related to improving nutritional care of our rehabilitation patients. You will also play a role in education of nutrition across the centre to both patients and staff.
You’ll need to have excellent communication, a flexible approach and the ability to manage your own time and workload within a supportive team. Experience of nutritional support and evidence of a varied clinical experience is desirable.
The NRC is a new, purpose-built 70-bed facility on the Stanford Hall Rehabilitation Estate near Loughborough, delivering a centre of excellence to improve rehabilitation services in England. It is co-located with the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre and will share some of the world class rehabilitation facilities. Find out more at www.nationalrehabilitationcentre.nhs.uk
