Job overview

Join our Team at Team EMAS in the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC). We are looking for an administrator to work within the Horizon Place Operations Centre to complement the existing team. 

This role helps provide a crucial function within the team and primarily focuses on the coordination and completion of all administration activities within the Operations Centre. 

This is more than just an admin role — it’s a chance to be part of a team that makes a real difference. You’ll work in a dynamic environment, supporting frontline services and contributing to the patients journey.

 

 

 

Main duties of the job

It is envisaged the successful candidate will have previous experience within an administrative role and able to work effectively as a team but also alone.

This post will be providing administration support to the Emergency Operations Centres, including all functions of the our support teams.   The post holder will be expected to deliver high standard of administration support, ensuring work is organised and prioritised in line with the departmental priorities.

Specific core responsibilities include:

·       Minute taking at key departmental related meetings

·       Arranging key meetings on behalf of the team

·       Registering information on Trust systems.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The EOC Administrator is responsible for the efficient and effective day-to-day administration for the Operations Centre. Responsibilities include the coordination and administration of all administration activities to 
support the EOC and Senior Leadership Team, administration of meetings and maintenance of robust administration systems and processes within their areas of responsibility. Based at Horizon Place, Nottingham, the EOC Administrator will support 
staff and managers in their administrational duties.

Person specification

Essential & Desirable

Essential criteria
  • GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • NVQ level 3 Business Administration Qualification or equivalent experience to demonstrate knowledge to this level.
  • 3 years experience within an administrative role
  • Use computers proficiently, in particular MS Office based programmes
  • Work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to independently work
  • Demonstrating a commitment to the values and principles of a public service - health and social care in particular
  • Advanced keyboard/word processing qualifications – RSA 2 or equivalent
  • Planning and organising meetings/events
Desirable criteria
  • Typing / work processing qualification - eg RSA minute taking qualification
  • First aid at work
  • Customer Service qualification
  • NHS Experience
  • Full Driving licence
