Job overview
Nottingham City General Practice Alliance and Nottingham CityCare are working together to grow research across Nottingham City. We want research to be part of everyday care in both primary care and community services. This role will help us widen access to research, especially for communities who do not usually take part in studies.
You will support and coordinate clinical research across GP practices, community teams and, when suitable, people’s homes. You will help build a joint research portfolio for both organisations, including commercial and interventional studies.
The role will:
- coordinate and support research studies
- develop and promote new research opportunities
- build research capacity within NCGPA practices and CityCare teams
- lead on performance reporting and assurance
- work with a range of partners such as NIHR East Midlands Regional Research Delivery Network and Universities.
You will work with a wide range of professionals across both organisations with varying levels of research experience. This includes Advanced Practitioners, Nurses, Nursing Associates, Allied Health Professionals, Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Physician Associates, Care Coordinators, Social Prescribers, Health and Wellbeing Coaches, Mental Health Practitioners, Practice Managers, Primary Care Network Managers, Reception teams and GPs.

Working for our organisation
Nottingham City GP Alliance (NCGPA) and Nottingham CityCare are two of the main organisations delivering primary and community healthcare across Nottingham City. Both organisations are committed to bringing care and research closer to people, including in their own homes.
We work side by side as part of the Nottingham City Place Based Partnership. Together, we support neighbourhood teams, GP practices and community services that care for some of the city’s most diverse and underserved communities. Both organisations have a strong track record of collaboration and a shared ambition to grow research in areas where it can make the greatest difference.
Hosted by NCGPA you will join friendly teams who care about their communities and want research to be part of everyday care. You will help build something that strengthens primary and community services and opens up research opportunities for people who do not usually get the chance to take part.
