Security Team Leader

Band 3

An exciting opportunity has arisen for proactive and hardworking staff to lead a team of Security Officers and CCTV Officers across both City and QMC.

As a Team Leader you will be responsible for managing the duties and conduct of the Security Officers and CCTV Operators. This includes recording the Officers’ Time & Attendance, their appearance and equipment, making rota adjustments and calling in relief staff outside of office hours where required. 

It is essential that you hold a current SIA Front Line Guarding Licence, Public Space Surveillance (CCTV) Licence and have a minimum of NVQ Level 2 qualification in Maths and English.  A full and current UK driving licence is preferable.

Applicants must be outgoing, enthusiastic and flexible in their approach with the ability to lead a small team, work independently and have high verbal communication and customer service skills.

Hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis providing 24 hour cover Monday to Sunday including bank holidays working 12 hour days and night shifts.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
