CPU Assistant

Band 2

We require proactive and hardworking catering staff to work as part of a team that produce traditional, home-made and where possible, locally sourced food in a large production kitchen. The kitchen produces meals for patients at both the QMC and City Campuses.

The ideal applicant will have previous experience of working in a busy kitchen, must be motivated and committed to providing a high quality service and be an outgoing, hardworking, enthusiastic individual that is able to work as part of a team or on their own initiative.

Your role will be to provide support to our Chefs and duties include the simple preparation of food, loading and unloading food service trolleys, sealing and labelling food containers as well as ensure that all areas of the kitchen are kept clean and tidy. 

Whilst you do not require any academic qualifications, it is essential that you have a good basic level of secondary education and hold a Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent experience/training.

Hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week working 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis Monday to Sunday between the hours of 6.30am and 8.00pm and will also include Bank Holidays.
