Clinical Fellow in Haematopathology

NHS Medical & Dental: Specialty Trainee (ST3 +)

This is a Clinical fellow post in Haematopathology and it is expected that the SpR will have previous experience in histopathology or haematology prior to this and will have passed FRCPath Part 1, and ideally also Part 2.  This post is aimed at ST3+ level doctors wishing to undertake a period of specialisation. The post is expected to be held by any one individual for 1 year but is extendable for a further year.

There are excellent facilities for sub-specialist training  in Haematopathology at Nottingham in our newly developed haematological diagnostic service with opportunities to work and develop new tests and techniques in flow cytometry and molecular diagnostics. There is a comprehensive range of material available, including a large consultation practice, and it is expected that the individual appointed will become involved in research and teaching.
