Main duties of the job

You’ll be at the heart of our transformation, leading on:

 Engagement & Co-Design

Facilitate inclusive engagement sessions with A&C staff.

Co-create solutions that reflect the diversity and strengths of our workforce.

Build trust, ownership, and momentum for change.

Team Development & Alignment

Support the formation of our new Professional Services Directorate.

Rebuild team cohesion, align on shared goals, and address legacy dynamics.

Create a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Training & Development

Lead on the design and delivery of professional development pathways for A&C staff.

Explore partnerships (e.g. with Nottingham Trent University) to build a thriving A&C Academy.

Champion capability-building and career progression.

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Specialist knowledge of formulating, implementing and reviewing strategies for delivering organisational development
  • Development methods, techniques and tools for effective project management
  • Able to demonstrate a commitment and understanding of the importance of treating all individuals with dignity and respect appropriate to their individual needs
Desirable criteria
  • Cross sector, functional & interdisciplinary awareness

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience as an OD Practitioner in a complex organisation
  • Project management experience
  • Experience of OD Consultancy Cycle
  • Experience of implementing organisational development or service improvement interventions, with evidence of outcomes
  • Team facilitation and coaching at senior management level and above
  • Managing a budget
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge and experience of lean principles
  • Complex acute hospital environment experience at a senior level and working with partners across health and social care

Education & Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to master’s degree level or equivalent gained through knowledge and experience.
  • Professional and specialised knowledge acquired through Master’s Degree in OD or similar Teaching
