Assistant People Business Partner

Job overview

Due to changes in the team we are pleased to be offering a Fixed Term People  Business Partner role.

Applicants may already be in a similar level role or be dynamic and experienced HR Advisors looking for the next step in their HR career.  On a day to day basis you will work closely with the People Business Partner supporting one of our clinical or corporate divisions providing timely and credible advise  and support on people matters linked to business and service needs.

You will deputise for the HR Business Partner and will be fully supported to help move forward change management programmes, the implementation of national
initiatives and the achievement of People performance targets within the Trust.

Main duties of the job

You will be able to work confidentially and autonomously within a partnering capacity reporting to and supporting the People Business Partner. This fast paced role will provide advice on the application of HR policies and procedures, and supporting managers to manage and implement transformational change, staff engagement and people strategies.

Bringing with you substantial experience of working in People/HR roles you will be an excellent communicator and be able to quickly build relationships with managers across the organisation to guide and coach them with application of our Policies and Procedures. Successful candidates must be able to hit the ground running and show they have knowledge of employment law and its practical application in the workplace.

You will have a level of experience at supporting with change programmes, staff improvement programmes and be able to support managers across the organisation to understand staff feedback, helping to put into practice actions to make our organisation the employer of choice for clinical and non-clinical staff across the Trust.  The ability to analyse HR data/metrics and translate this into meaningful information will also be a key skill for the successful candidate.

 

 

Working for our organisation

The post holder will undertake a mix of home and office based working, working across the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham City Hospital, Ropewalk House and the Treatment Centre as required.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Human Resources Level 7 Diploma (or equivalent), plus significant post qualification experience.
  • Active member of CIPD

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of designing and delivering specialist HR Training
  • Experience of working in a complex fast moving, multi-professional environment
  • Relevant HR experience, including the provision of giving specialist HR advice to senior managers and multi-disciplinary teams
