Job overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic therapy team in HCOP (Healthcare of the Older Person). A passion for working with and improving outcomes for frail older adults is essential for this role. This is a permanent opportunity and is full time.
The Team covers 9 wards across QMC and City campus including acute wards, medically fit wards and the Medical Mental Health Unit with emphasis on Dementia and Delirium, which means our caseload is really varied.
You will be supported to develop specialist skills for the complex assessment and treatment and rehabilitation of Older People with complex physical, cognitive and social needs, ensuring a holistic and patient centred approach to therapy. We work closely with system partners and endeavour towards excellence in discharge from the acute setting.
We welcome applications from experienced therapists looking for a new challenge, as well as those who might be looking to step up into their first Band 6 role. NUH offers an Early Band 6 Development Programme to support the transition from Band 5 to Band 6.
If you are interested and would like to learn more, please contact Trusha Patel. Informal visits / phone calls are very welcome.

You would join an experienced and supportive Senior Team who value supporting development across the four pillars of practice. You would receive a comprehensive induction to the Trust and to the team and be offered regular clinical supervision, as well as an annual personal development review. Our Team is also supported by Clinical Lead and a Clinical Academic. The successful Therapist would also be expected to support the development of more junior colleagues and take an active role in the education of Student Occupational Therapists.
