Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will deliver expert clinical care to children with kidney disease, managing both acute emergencies and long-term conditions such as dialysis and transplantation. They will lead inpatient and outpatient services, participate in the on-call rota, and provide specialist advice across the EMEESY network. The role also involves teaching and supervising junior staff, contributing to clinical governance, audit, and research, and working closely within a multidisciplinary team to drive service development.
We are looking for a consultant with advanced clinical skills in paediatric nephrology, strong communication and leadership abilities, and a collaborative approach. The ideal candidate will be committed to high standards of patient care, continuous professional development, and innovation in service delivery, with experience in teaching, audit, and multidisciplinary teamwork.
