We are delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, keen and energetic individual to become part of the East Midlands haematology/oncology team. Our vision is to achieve this through excellence in Research, Teaching and service provision.

This post is for a substantive consultant paediatric oncologist starting on the 15th of March 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter. The post is based at the Queens Medical Centre Campus of NUH NHS Trust. The appointee will join two paediatric haematologists and four paediatric oncologists (two clinical academics) based at Nottingham Children’s Hospital and work alongside regional colleagues in the East Midlands Children’s and Young Persons’ Integrated Cancer Service.

The role will include all aspects of paediatric oncology (solid and CNS tumours) and includes the additional responsibilities of clinical lead for the late effects service and departmental education and audit lead.

Applicants should be fully registered with the GMC and have a licence to practice. Applicants must have or be within 6 months of receiving a CCT in Paediatrics (Oncology) or have equivalent training / experience at the time of appointment.

The post is full time with 10 PA's in the job plan. However, consideration will be given to candidates who require flexible working arrangements. The on‑call commitment to the Paediatric Haemato‑Oncology service is 1 in 6 nights and weekends with prospective cover.
