Senior Physiotherapist

NHS AfC: Band 6

There may be further band 6 MSK posts arising in the future subject to funding approval

This is an opportunity for a competent physiotherapist with recent relevant clinical skills, interest and knowledge in musculoskeletal physiotherapy to join our cross campus dynamic MSK service at band 6 level. Staff will be responsible for a diverse and complex clinical case load. This post is full time ( 37.5 hours a week) and is rotational across both in-patients and out-patients. Rotations include ED, fracture clinic, spines, OP, gym, trauma, in-patient spines, elective orthopaedics, staff occupational physio team, shoulder unit.

Other responsibilities include supervision of undergraduate students, junior and assistant staff, participating in the teaching program and facilitation of local service development.

You will need to be HCPC registered and experience of working in a busy acute setting would be a distinct advantage. Previous MSK experience is essential.

The Department is committed to personal and professional development for all staff.

A commitment to weekend & on-call working would be expected. You will be required to work flexibly over a seven day period in order to meet the needs of the Therapy Services.
