Job overview
Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust has an exciting and challenging role within Theatre Supplies department based at Qmc, main theatres. We require an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our dynamic and lively department who are committed to providing an excellent logistic service to the main operating theatres.
A high level of concentration is required for long periods of time and you need to be physically fit as there is constant picking of stock throughout the day. You will need to be enthusiastic, committed and adaptable to change.

Main duties of the job

As an integral part of the team you will be required to use the Theatres Stores IT system (currently Powergate) on a daily basis, scanning consumables for both issue and receipt. You will also have responsibilities for receiving deliveries from suppliers, checking such deliveries and replenishing the Theatres Stores with the delivered stock. Assisting with audits/yearly and rolling stock counts within theatres.
The successful candidate must have a flexible approach as there will be a requirement to work across both city and Qmc stores and may also include weekend working on a rota basis within the team - working hours are 37.5 hours per week between the hours of 7am and 4pm depending on the staff rota covering deliveries and theatre activity.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To work as part of the supplies team and the wider multi-disciplinary team, providing an efficient stock control service within the theatres.
The post holder will also be responsible for receipt and checking of deliveries, placing stock in correct the location and picking consumables for the theatres on a daily and ad-hoc basis as required.
To contact suppliers regarding orders or information on alternative products and communicate any issues to the theatre team in a timely manner
The post holder will be trained in all aspects of their duties and will be expected to carry out their duties adhering to all trust policies and procedures

Essential criteria
- Educated to minimum GCSE level (English and Maths) or can demonstrate the ability to work at that level
- good knowledge of MS office and Excel
