Job overview
We are pleased to advertise a vacancy for a CT Radiographer.
This post is suitable for a radiographer who has a keen interest to work in CT.
We are in exciting times, expanding our service at QMC in addition to developments underway for the Nottingham Community Diagnostics Centre (CDC). We currently have 7 CT scanners across 2 sites, the QMC site also incorporates the Treatment Centre. We provide a service for Emergency care, outpatients, in-patients with Major Trauma being positioned at the QMC.
Main duties of the job

You will be expected to deliver a high quality CT service within a fast-paced environment, alongside and supporting the Senior CT Radiographers as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team. You will have a high standard of patient care and positive patient experience.
Nottingham University Hospitals Radiology is a 7 day/24-hour service. You will be expected to work a flexible shift pattern consisting of 12.5 hour days/nights, totalling 13 shifts over a 4 week period.
Successful applicants will be highly motivated and enthusiastic; adaptable to change; team players; and have excellent communication skills. Commitment to high quality patient care is essential. You will be able to display excellent interpersonal skills with a caring, patient centred and flexible approach to work and innovation.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To undertake and complete training to carry out front line patient care and high-quality CT and radiographic examinations essential to diagnosis and treatment
To work alongside and support the Band 6 CT Radiographers.
To maintain a high standard of work and to strive for continual improvements in radiographic standards and patient care within the CT department.
Under supervision of the senior CT Radiographers, assess the suitability of patients to undergo CT examinations and specialised procedures and modify technique accordingly in line with policy and protocols.
Actively participate in the organisation of the CT team and patient workload under supervision of the CT radiographers.
Learn and develop full understanding of the correct justification of CT procedures under supervision of the CT radiographers and adhere to IRMER Procedures.
