Job overview
The post holder will work autonomously within the clinic setting, as a non-medical prescriber providing expert care which is underpinned by specialist knowledge and experience, to diagnose, manage and treat the patient’s sexual health needs.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to hold a Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (FSRH) accredited letter of competence in either Subdermal Contraceptive Implant Techniques Insertion and Removal (LoC SDI-IR) or Intrauterine Techniques (LoC IUT), and be willing to work towards both.
The post holder will be expected to hold a British Association for Sexual Health and HIV (BASHH) accredited STI Foundation Intermediate or Integrated qualification, and be willing to work towards STIF Advanced

Training and Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Current registration with appropriate professional body
- STIF Intermediate/Integrated qualification
- Letter of competence in implant insertion and removal and/or IUT
- Non-Medical Prescriber

- Significant post-registration experience at band 6 or above
- Demonstrates professional autonomy and effective decision-making skills when managing caseload

- Demonstrate confidence in assessing, planning, delivering, prioritising and evaluating patient care
