Job overview

The Urology Service is excited to advertise for a Endourology/Upper urinary tract Senior Clinical Fellow post.

Full-time Urology Clinical Fellow. This is a 6 or 12 months fixed term post, with 4 specialist theatre sessions per week, specialist stone clinics and MDT, and participation in the Urology post-CCT fellow rota (above middle grade).

 

The Department of Urology is part of the Cancer and Associated Specialist directorate. It is housed in the purpose-built Nottingham Urology Centre which was opened 14 years ago. Nottingham Urology Centre has three urology theatres as well as state of the art outpatients’ facilities including diagnostic suites, flexible cystoscopy and TRUS diagnostic suites and an on- site lithotripter.

Person specification

Analytical and Judgement Skills

Essential criteria
  • Interest in and knowledge of medical audit and understands the principles of evidence based audit
Desirable criteria
  • Evidence of audit participation

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • MBBS
  • Licenced and full registration with the General Medical Council

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Within 6 months of CCT
  • FRCS(Urol.)
  • Has good knowledge in diagnosis and management of stone disease
  • Exposure to rigid and flexible ureteroscopy
Desirable criteria
  • Post-CCT
  • Has exposure to PCNL
