Job overview
We are looking for a Business Administrator Apprentice (Recruitment) to join our vibrant Recruitment Team. Based at Duncan MacMillan House, Mapperley. This role is 37.5 hours per week, 18-month fixed term training contract and offers a flexible work-life balance with a mix of remote working (once a training programme has been completed) and in-office work.
The Recruitment Team is part of the People & Culture Directorate and we link closely with colleagues in the Payroll Team, ESR Team, Temporary Staffing Team and Employee Relations.

In return you will receive 27 days leave, plus bank holidays and an annual salary of £12,514. You will have access to the NHS Pension Scheme and will be supported to achieve your L3 in Business Administration.
The apprenticeship scheme is run in partnership with Prostart and is delivered in the workplace. You will attend a planned induction and additional training events and given time to complete your studies.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for someone who can pick up IT systems quickly and work in a busy environment where everyone works together. We are looking for a team player who can demonstrate:
- good organisational & prioritisation skills
- attention to detail and accuracy
- good communication skills & a customer focussed approach
You will be required to provide varied administration by supporting the team who deal with tasks such as:
- Preparing and issuing standard reference requests using the ESR system
- Recording recruitment information on Trac Recruitment system
- Dealing with post & payroll paperwork
- Producing Honorary Contracts
- Managing & maintaining filing systems
- Recording & producing ID badges
- Responding to general telephone & email enquiries
Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa.
