Job overview

We are looking for a full time, permanent,  highly skilled and experienced staff member to join our community children' services team as our Data Quality and Systems Lead.

 The role will support review and improvement of all Community Children's and Young People's SystmOne Units and Electronic Patient Record processes. It will involve ensuring that any developments within our Electronic Patient Records meets clinical requirements in line with record keeping and clinical governance standards and will require working closely with our range of  clinical teams.

Qualified to at least Level 5 in a relevant professional field (or equivalent significant experience),  this is an for an experienced practitioner with knowledge of improving and maintaining clinical recording systems,  liaising with all system users to develop, document and support the development  of new and existing systems.  The role will also involve providing specialist training and advice to staff in response to changes to IT systems and produce user guides linked to the introduction of new systems and processes.  Excellent knowledge of SystmOne and its capabilities/ functionality and the ability to propose and make changes to support consistency and connectedness (where appropriate) across all CCYPS units and clinical practice would be an advantage. 

 

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will: 

1. Have responsibility across community children's services for improving and maintaining clinical recording systems,  liaising with all system users to develop, document and support the introduction of new and existing systems. 

2. Establish, evaluate and improve system processes and working practices ensuring maximum benefit for staff and service users.

3. Develop and maintain internal procedures and documents to support the efficient running of clinical systems and to support reporting against KPIs

4. Provide advice on what is reportable via the electronic patient record systems and complete audits, quality checks and analysis against reports where required

5. Link with the CCYPS Business Manager, Applied Information and Systems Admin connecting information used within clinical activity recording to enable accurate reporting of data as required.

6  Liaise with other Data Quality and System Leads  to support and enable joined up systems / processes where appropriate.

  • A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post;

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • • NVQ 5 minimum or equivalent (degree) in a related field – e.g. Management, IT Systems or with equivalent knowledge and experience
  • • Advanced level of computer literacy and competency, especially with MS Office etc. – relevant qualifications / experience
Desirable criteria
  • Teaching / training qualification

Knowledge and Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of working with clinical systems.
  • Experience of collating information, evaluation and report writing.
  • Experience of project management.
  • Familiarity and working knowledge of SystmOne

Skills and Abilities

  • Accurate data entry and analysis skills, keen eye for detail and data quality.
  • Ability to produce high quality, accurate and timely correspondences, reports and meeting notes.
