Job overview
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of patients with cardiac conditions? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment? We are looking for a dedicated Senior Healthcare Support Worker to join our dynamic team on Ward 23, a 23-bedded cardiac unit that specialises in the care of patients with a range of heart conditions.
In this exciting and rewarding role, you will work closely with our experienced multidisciplinary team, including specialist cardiac nurses and healthcare professionals. Ward 23 cares for patients with acute coronary syndrome, heart arrhythmias, post-cardiac arrest recovery and heart failure. We also closely collaborate with the cardiac catheter suite for procedures such as heart stents and the implantation of pacemakers and defibrillators.
Our ward is divided into 8 acute coronary care beds, where we provide enhanced care to acutely unwell cardiac patients, including CPAP and inotropes when required. We admit patients daily from the emergency department and assessments unit, ensuring high-quality care for each individual.
