Knowledge Requirements

Essential criteria

Working knowledge of MS Windows Office, internet and email applications up to subject matter expert level
Knowledge of the Data Protection Act and issues around data confidentiality
Extensive knowledge of clinical and business functions across the local health community
Detailed knowledge and awareness of uses of Health Informatics across the NHS

Desirable criteria

A clear understanding of the local service requirements and plans associated with the National programme for IT
MDM experience

A relevant degree or technical qualification or equivalent technical experience
In possession of the ECDL/MOST qualification
Excellent IT skills with Advanced Keyboard skills.

Previous technical experience within an IT environment
Prior experience of delivering and technical documentation

Contractual Requirements

Ability to work flexibly, outside normal office hours, in order to suit the needs of the users
Ability to travel in order to attend meetings/deliver training at point of need.
Clean driving licence and use of own car.
Requirement to form part of an on-call rota

As a Senior Assessor, you have the opportunity to focus on delivering direct care. Furthermore, if you have the relevant experience and skills, you can take on an additional responsibility. We limit this to one responsibility to allow for focused time on that topic, rather than having your time stretched too thinly. When taking on an additional responsibility, your case volume is reduced, making time available for this focused time.

For Senior Assessors, additional responsibility options include supporting more complex cases, ensuring quality assurance, providing training, facilitating family engagement, and contributing to pathway development.
