Job overview

Are you an experienced clinical pharmacist with a passion for antimicrobial stewardship and improving patient outcomes? We have an exciting opportunity for a confident, enthusiastic and highly motivated pharmacist to join our team in a high-profile role supporting the delivery of safe, effective and evidence-based antimicrobial prescribing across the Trust.

Based at King's Mill Hospital, this part-time position offers the chance to play a key role in shaping antimicrobial stewardship practice, helping to ensure the safe, rational and cost-effective use of antimicrobials while supporting the organisation to achieve local, regional and national prescribing targets.

As a senior member of the pharmacy team, you will take responsibility and accountability for the development, implementation and monitoring of antimicrobial prescribing practice across the Trust. This will include developing and maintaining antimicrobial guidelines, auditing clinical practice, monitoring antimicrobial usage and expenditure and more.

We are looking for a pharmacist who can influence clinical practice and lead positive change.

This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your specialist expertise within antimicrobial stewardship while making a significant contribution to patient safety, quality of care and the Trust's strategic objectives.

Working for our organisation

We are an award-winning NHS Foundation Trust working alongside health and social care colleagues across the county to provide acute and community healthcare services to more than 420,000 people across Mansfield, Ashfield, Newark and Sherwood, and parts of Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.

We put the patient at the heart of everything that we do and it is our aim to make sure that every patient is treated as we would want a member of our own family to be treated. At the same time, we expect our staff to be caring, kind and courteous to each other and to look out for each other. We believe that we are truly a clinically-led organisation.

We are proud that our Trust colleagues have voted us the best acute Trust to work for in the East Midlands for seven years running in the National NHS Staff Survey, while the Care Quality Commission has rated our Trust as ‘outstanding’ for care and our King’s Mill Hospital as the only ‘outstanding’ NHS-run hospital in the East Midlands.

Not all of our roles are eligible for visa sponsorship. To find out which roles are eligible, please refer to the shortage occupation list found here:
