We have an exciting opportunity for a Patient Pathway Coordinator to join our professional and dedicated team. We are committed to creating a positive journey for every patient seen within our service and we’re looking for someone who shares our vision and drive.

As a Patient Pathway Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring patients experience a smooth and efficient journey through our service. Working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, you will manage administrative and coordination tasks that are essential for delivering high-quality patient care.

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Computer literate, with experience of using a keyboard with a high level of accuracy.
  • Knowledge of NHS or service provider in general
  • Thorough knowledge of healthcare or other administrative systems and processes
  • Knowledge of databases, spreadsheets i.e. PAS, Excel or similar applications
  • Experience of using a full range of IT/Patient data systems
  • Confidentiality and Data Protection
  • Health and Safety
  • Equality and diversity
Desirable criteria
  • Sound office clerical background providing knowledge of relevant procedures
  • Experience of using a full range of IT/Patient data systems – As applicable to speciality

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Good general education with GCSE English at grade C or above or equivalent qualification / experience.
  • RSA II (or equivalent)
Desirable criteria
  • Association of Medical Secretaries, Practice Administrator & Receptionist diploma (AMSPAR)
  • NVQ in Customer Care
  • Institute of Health Records & Information
  • Management Diploma (IHRIM)
  • European Computer Driving Licence
  • Shorthand speeds of 80wpm

  • Experience of managing health & safety issues
