Job overview

Little Millers Day Nursery, situated onsite at King's Mill Hospital, is dedicated to providing exceptional care and early childhood education for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years old. Our nursery operates Monday to Friday, offering a nurturing environment where children can thrive and grow. We are committed to fostering each child's development journey, enabling them to reach their full potential.

We are seeking a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Nurse to join our passionate team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality care and learning experiences for the children in our nursery. You will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities that support the individual learning journey of each child, while maintaining a safe and stimulating environment.

Main duties of the job

To provide high quality care and learning for the children who attend the nursery, planning  engaging activities to support the children's learning journey to help them achieve their full potential.

Developing strong professional relationships with parents/cares. Supporting children with their daily care needs, supporting the development of the nursery.

Knowledge Requirements

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Practice Guidance / Statutory Framework.
  • Safe Guarding Children policy and procedure.

Qualifications Academic/ Craft/ Professional

Essential criteria
  • NVQ 3 in Childcare & Education, or equivalent and experience (see experience)

Further Training

Essential criteria
  • A commitment to undergo ongoing professional development
Desirable criteria
  • Basic Food Hygiene to be completed within 6 months
  • Paediatric First Aid to be completed within 6 months

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Previous experience of working within a childcare setting
