Job overview
An exciting opportunity has become available to join our team on a 9-month fixed term/secondment basis as a Clinical Research Practitioner.
Location: Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Chesterfield Royal Hospital, with a focus on the Mobile Research Unit.
This role is essential to coordinate the day-to-day running of the mobile research unit. Responsibilities include liaising with external services to book and deliver research promotional events across our communities. As a Clinical Research Practitioner (CRP), you will also have the opportunity to recruit patients to research studies and conduct study follow-ups. An ability to drive the mobile research unit is essential.

Essential criteria
- Knowledge of clinical trials
- Previous recent research/data collection/data input/clinical audit experience
- Knowledge of GCP and Research Governance
Desirable criteria
- Ability to evaluate patient eligibility for entry into clinical trials against defined protocols
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to Diploma level or equivalent level of experience
- Required to participate in CPD
- Administrative qualifications
- An understanding of the research process
- Proven verbal communication skills with different staff groups
Desirable criteria
- Study beyond GCSE

- Hospital computer systems e.g. Medway, case note tracking, ORION
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working in an NHS setting
- Knowledge of clinical trials
- Previous recent research/data collection/data input/clinical audit experience
- Hospital systems experience (Care Flow, EDGE)
- Practical Experience and competent in Microsoft Office
- Experience of working in a laboratory setting
- Cannulation and Phlebotomy Skills and ECG’s
- Knowledge of GCP and Research Governance
- Experience of working within Clinical Trials
Desirable criteria
- NHS or healthcare related
- Experience in the clinical care of patients enrolled in research studies
