Job overview
The Hospital at Home service is an innovative and pioneering service based at the Abingdon Community Hospital in Oxfordshire, covering a large catchment area across Central, West and South Oxfordshire. The service works collaboratively with Services from the OUH, to provide a holistic approach to assessment, and provide hospital level treatment for patients in their own homes, thus avoiding admission or expediating discharge from secondary care providers.
We are seeking a full time band 3 Team Administrator to work alongside the Clinical team to continue the support and development of the Hospital at Home Service further. The post holder will need to be enthusiastic, patient focused, flexible and able to work independently within a busy multi-professional team.
The service runs 08.00 – 22.00 7 days a week, 52 weeks of the year. Some flexibility with hours maybe required for coverage.
Main duties of the job
- To provide in-office administrative support to the Hospital at Home Team, based at Abingdon Community Hospital, including but not limited to
- Answering the telephone to patients, relatives, internal and external referrers
- Maintenance of equipment - including co-ordinating yearly checks.
- Data input for new and existing referrals to the service.
- Regular testing of Fire alarm.
