Band 6 Radiographer & Clinical Governance Facilitator

Part time 22.5 hours/week

Main duties of the job

We are seeking an experienced radiographer to join us at the Horton General Hospital, in a Band 6 role.  The job involves two days dedicated to clinical governance per week.  This will also include rotation to other sites within the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to meet with other Clinical Governance Facilitators in the team.  Previous experience in a Clinical Governance Facilitator role and good IT skills would be beneficial.  The third day will be spent rotating in the Horton radiology department.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the friendly Radiology team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust based at the Horton site. Experienced, highly motivated and enthusiastic radiographers who are looking to develop their career in a new direction are encouraged to apply.

The post provides the ideal opportunity to be involved in Clinical Governance and clinical radiography within one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the UK.

The Horton has approximately 200 beds and offers a good range of local services, e.g. Accident and Emergency, Medicine, Outpatients, MSK and Women and Children’s services. It is located within easy walking distance of the busy market town of Banbury in North Oxfordshire, close to Warwickshire and Northamptonshire. There are excellent transport links to London and Birmingham, via motorway or rail, and good onsite parking provision. There are some excellent schools within the area and a good selection of areas to live that would suit most tastes and budgets. There is also an excellent children’s day nursery on site, with discounted rates for staff.
