Main duties of the job

We are looking for Nurses and Paramedics to work as part of our dynamic team where you will use your clinical judgement and extensive knowledge to carry out complex clinical assessments of patients, using a combination of telephone and video conversations. You will be required to deal with sensitive information whilst providing appropriate advice and information to the patients in line with the clinical assessment software, care pathways, the latest evidence based research and current clinical guidelines. You will be supporting whole system healthcare, working with partner organisations to assess needs and plan care for communities and individuals.

Working as part of the team on the Clinical Support Desk you will be  directly involved with live emergency calls helping with patient assessments and supporting non clinical colleagues as well as road staff.

You will be required to demonstrate excellent communication skills with a broad range of patients, family members and other healthcare professionals, often exploring and resolving complex clinical and social issues. Balancing the needs of our individual patients with the availability of resources and demand on the Service requires critical thinking and problem solving skills, team working, innovation and good IT skills.
