The West Wing operating theatre department is looking for an experienced, passionate & dedicated Nurse/ODP to join the team as a Clinical Practice Educator (CPE) – Anaesthetics.  This role will complement our existing Education team with expertise in Anaesthetics. The West Wing Operating Theatre Department (Oxford) is a 14-theatre unit where routine and emergency surgery take place. Specialties include,  E.N.T., Ophthalmology, Plastics, Maxfacs surgery, Neurosurgery, Paediatric – Orthopaedics & General.

Excellent inter-personal skills are essential, with an exceptional track record in clinical practice, inter-professional working and the ability to teach and motivate others. A positive, flexible style and approach is necessary, and you must be an effective team player. As a Clinical Practice Educator your main role will be the education of staff and students in the clinical area. You are required to have excellent communication, influencing and leadership skills. You will be encouraged and supported to further develop using the educational and experiential learning opportunities available. We have a comprehensive approach to the development of all grades of staff within theatres, to facilitate career development and progression. Please note that these roles involve working shifts.”
