Are you a registered mental health professional with an interest in psychological therapies and wishing to expand your experience?
We are looking for a Care Co-Ordinator for our Single Point of Access (SPA) service in Buckinghamshire.
We’re looking for people who are compassionate, work well in a team, are enthusiastic, highly motivated and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
This position would suit registered mental health professionals including Registered Mental Health Nurses, Social Workers or Occupational Therapists.

The post holder will work independently as part of a multidisciplinary team, assessing patients’ needs and providing patient-specific programmes of care through individual, group and digital treatments.
The post holder will also work closely with the Buckinghamshire Talking Therapies Single Point of Access (SPA) team participating in screening, risk assessing and supporting people to access therapy within both primary & secondary care.
Suitable candidates will have the opportunity to undertake high quality training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
Support from skilled supervisors and comprehensive training will be provided to ensure the post holder develops their skills to deliver Talking Therapies psychological therapies.

The Buckinghamshire Talking Therapies service follows a hybrid working pattern, currently aiming for staff on average to work for 2 days in a Trust office or clinic and 3 days from home.
Our two main bases are centrally located within Aylesbury and High Wycombe, and we use additional clinic space around the county. Ability and willingness to travel for work purposes is essential.
Currently, assessments and groups are provided in the evening and there may be an expectation to work one evening per week as part of the contracted hours.

Qualifications

- Registered Professional Qualification (Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapy or Social Work) or a Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner
Experience

- An understanding of community mental health teams and interdisciplinary working
- Experience in working with adults/older adults with mental health difficulties
- An understanding of models of community care and some experience in this setting

Skills

- Excellent prioritisation and time management skills
- To be able to understand and demonstrate competence in Risk Management
