Job overview

We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic Pharmacy Assistant to join our dedicated award winning Pharmacy Clinical Trials Team in the delivery of a high quality, safe and effective clinical trials service to the patients and staff within Oxford Health Foundation trust, and wider research community. Attention to detail and accuracy in following procedures is essential for this role. 

Main duties of the job

This post would be suitable for anybody who has previous Pharmacy experience, including community Pharmacy experience and is looking to transition to a career in clinical trials and research, or anybody looking for a new challenge and is keen to learn and work within a dedicated team. Full appropriate training will be provided.

You will have a variety of duties within the department, including the supply of clinical trial medication to study participants, receiving, and monitoring stock, and maintaining the clinical trials study information.

Our small clinical trials team is made up of pharmacists and technicians who will support you in your work.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

As part of the wider pharmacy team, you may occasionally be required to work in the dispensary, supporting the team with dispensing prescriptions, and the day to day duties of the dispensary.

An NVQ level 2 or equivalent in Pharmacy would be desirable and experience of working in a pharmaceutical related or hospital environment would be an advantage however full training will be provided in the department.

The majority of this role will require onsite attendance to the pharmacy department in Kennington but travel to other research sites within the Trust will occasionally be necessary.
