Job overview

Are you looking for a new opportunity to develop new skills? Are you passionate about working in the community? Then we are the team for you.

The Oxford Early Intervention Service is a friendly and supportive team which prides itself with a high retention rate of staff.  You will be offered specialised training to enable you to increase your knowledge base and to advance your practice. This role can be challenging at times, due to the sensitive needs and difficult points in the lives of our patients, but you will be rewarded with outcomes that change lives and you will have the support of a highly motivated and passionate team around you. Our team has weekly MDTs, as well as Red Meetings, which focus on supporting the team in achieving high levels of care for our patients. We ensure that regular supervision is provided in all areas, including psychological therapies. Furthermore caseloads are reduced due to the specialist interventions we provide.

Main duties of the job

You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to plan and implement intervention specific to the needs of patients and their carers. This includes attending weekly MDT meetings.

You will be holding a reduced caseload in the community which entails completing highly complex assessments, including the assessment of risk, identifying needs and develop care plans jointly with patients and carers underpinned by evidence-based practice. You will need to have a good understanding of monitoring risk in the community and to have an understanding and experience of working with patients who experience psychosis.
