Job overview

Are you a creative, kind, and experienced leader with a passion for mental health services? We are looking for an enthusiastic Service Manager to join our team and lead our multidisciplinary services. As a Service Manager, you will shape the future of our services, ensuring high standards of care and continuous improvement.

Thames Valley Children and Young People (CYP) and HOPE Adult Eating Disorders (AED) Specialised Mental Health Provider Collaboratives are pioneering groups of providers working together to deliver excellent care and share clinical expertise for vulnerable adults, children, and young people. Our model emphasises local clinical leadership and co-production, with providers partnering through pooled budgets to design and deliver specialised services. We aim to commission high-quality pathways, improve care closer to home, enhance clinical outcomes, and reduce the length of stay.

The Service Manager will oversee our hospital-at-home services. Currently, three services are in operation: CYP Eating Disorder Service, AED Step Care Eating Disorder Service, and CYP Learning Disability and Autism. Treatment is delivered by multidisciplinary teams, using both virtual and in-person contacts to provide intensive and specialised care closer to home. Building on these successful pathways, the post holder will champion these initiatives and lead the way in expanding and launching new hospital at home services, driving innovation and excellence in mental health care

Main duties of the job

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead and Inspire: Guide and motivate your teams to achieve their full potential and deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Drive Quality Improvement: Ensure compliance with CQC standards and lead initiatives to enhance service quality and patient outcomes.

  • Champion Change: Lead transformation programs, implement best practices, and contribute to strategic planning.
  • Engage Stakeholders: Collaborate with patients, carers, and partners to shape the future of our services.
