Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, forward-facing, patient-centred individual to join our excellent nursing team on Epynt Ward at Brecon Hospital. We are looking for an individual who can work well as part of a multidisciplinary team, who is caring and kind and wants to develop their clinical leadership skills. You will be expected to work as an autonomous practitioner with the support of the ward manager, senior nursing and therapies staff.
There are various hours and working patterns available on the ward.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications/Experience
Essential criteria
- NMC Registered
- Pre-registration evidence in direct nursing care
- Experience of providing hoslitic nursing care
- Interest in developing nursing skills
- Clear understanding of contract of care
- Ability to document details clearly and accurately
- Clear understanding of consent process
- Basic IT skills
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work under pressure
- Leadership skills
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of post registration study and training
- Awareness of safeguarding
- Intermediate life support
- Clear understanding of clinical governance framework
- Implement evidence-based pratice
- Ability to speak Welsh
- Knowledge of incident reporting policy
- Awareness of policies
- Knowledge of risk assessments

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
