Specialist Occupational Therapist DHTT / Community / Inpatient South Powys
The Dementia Home Treatment Team (DHTT) in South Powys is expanding, and there is a new post for a band 6 OT working alongside another band 6 OT. This is a new and dynamic team, working with older people with Dementia to enable them to stay in their familiar environments wherever possible. The OT's work into the inpatient wards and CMHTs, and home environments and the roles could work geographically, connecting through the DHTT. This is an exciting time for older person mental health services in Powys, with development of memory assessment services and we are developing virtual and assistive technology to enhance and enable people to access services and connect with others. The OT services in Powys offer a wonderful opportunity to connect and share skills and experiences across physical and mental health settings. There are learning and training opportunities and we take students from Cardiff and Wrexham university.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
