THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 4  MONTHS FOR THE COVID-19 MASS VACCINATION CENTRE

We are looking to recruit a Site Porter/Domestic to support our mass vaccination centres on a fixed term contract for 4 months. The hours of work are 30 hours and there will be a requirement to work weekends on a rota.

The Mass Vaccination Centre (MVC) Porter will provide a front-line customer focused service and will use their interpersonal skills to ensure they are receptive to service user needs.

The post holder will provide a service for the COVID-19 Mass Vaccination Centre (MVC) to include Assisting with traffic management controls, Delivery and distribution of supplies, Stores monitoring for levels of stock and Movement of equipment, Daily cleaning of Mass Vaccination Centre.

We are looking for someone who is hard working, committed and reliable with the enthusiasm to deliver a high-quality service.  Good communication is key as you will come into contact with staff and service users of the mass vaccination centres daily.

If you are a Powys Health Board employee this post will only be offered on a secondment basis and you will need to have gained your line managers approval for the secondment prior to going to interview.

Main duties include:-

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply

Qualifications and/or Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Literacy & Numeracy L1 or equivalent
  • NVQ L2 or equivalent experience or On the job training and induction is carried out over a period of 3-6 months to ensure competency in a range of work routines, enabling these to be carried out across different work place environments
Desirable criteria
  • Manual Handling, Health and Safety awareness and training
