Powys THB provides services in a rural setting and this creates opportunities to be autonomous practitioners, develop leadership skills and create innovative ideas to deliver care within the community and close to patients homes.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Physiotherapist to join our North locality physiotherapy teams which support our community hospitals in Welshpool, Newtown, Llanidloes, Machynlleth and Llandrindod Wells. We are looking for a person who wants to work within motivated and enthusiastic teams whose priority is to provide rehabilitation and support to Powys residents in Outpatient, Inpatient and community services. You will have the opportunity to further develop your skills in of MSK, Neurological Rehabilitation, Community Rehabilitation and Elderly Care.
Main duties of the job
You will need to have excellent communication and organizational skills, a flexible approach to work and negotiation skills to motivate patients and staff to deliver high standards of care.
You will work closely as part of an MDT within PTHB. You will have the opportunity to work with clinical specialists in different service areas in order to develop a wide range of skills.
The role will also include supervision, teaching and the development of band 3/4 support workers. You will play an active part in an on-going in-service training and clinical supervision programme in order to support your own development and others.
We support CPD, in-service training, clinical supervision and career development.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
